As the toy drones are becoming popular these days, many beginners are looking for a high-quality starter quadcopter to start with. And the K5 Mini Nano drone is no exception. In the K5 Mini Nano drone review, I will talk about its design quality, performance, features and other tidbits that make it unique from its competitors. That being said, the purpose of this review is to help shoppers like you make an informed decision. Through sifting the reviews and researching the product, we have assembled this guide so that you can get all the information you need to make the best drone choice. Design & Build Quality

The K5 Mini Nano drone features foldable motor arms that can be folded into a compact size easy enough to store inside the remote controller. It follows a similar style to the well known HS190 Mini Foldable Quadcopter and the DROCON Scouter. While it is relatively small enough to bring with you anywhere you want to go, it uses ABS plastic that provides good durability. In addition to the fact that it uses foldable motor arms for better protection.

K5 Mini Nano Drone Review Build and Design Quality

In the front, it has a built-in searchlight that provides a clear visual assistance positioning. However, it is a bit unfortunate that this adorable foldable quadcopter doesn’t come with a camera. Furthermore, the battery is built-in already and can’t be replaced that easily. If you do want to replace the battery, you will have to unscrew the body frame to switch the battery and reassemble the frame again. Overall, the design and build quality of the K5 mini nano drone is quite good.

Performance

Talking about how well a drone performs is one of my favorite things to talk in all quadcopter reviews such as the IDEA7 Foldable GPS Drone, FuriBee H818 and Visuo XS809S for example. The K5 Mini Nano drone comes with a two-speed tier that allows a smooth learning curve for pilots who want to learn how to pilot a drone. However, because of its small size, I do not recommend you fly this quadcopter outside because it doesn’t resist the wind too well.

But, what makes it up for lack of wind resistance is being packed with features. The K5 Mini Nano drone makes an excellent training quadcopter for beginners who are just starting. It is perfect for indoor and doesn’t make too much commotion thanks to its relatively quiet noise. Not just only that, its lightweight makes it hard to break objects and damaging themselves in the process.

K5 Mini Nano Drone Performance

If you have seen most foldable drones such as the X12 quadcopter and Ninja FPV, they all possess the same trait that K5 Mini Nano drone has: great durability and long service life. On average, a battery lasts for around 7 minutes and has a charging time of 30 minutes. Furthermore, it has a control range up to 50 meters which provides plenty of flying room to soar around. In the end, the performance of the K5 Mini Nano drone is generally above the average.

Features

As I mentioned previously that the K5 Mini Nano drone is packed with features. It is especially true for this quadcopter who brings a multitude of beginner-friendly features that makes it super easy for beginners to fly. Do you want to impress the audience who is watching you flying the K5 Mini Nano drone? Simply push the 360-degree flip button and the drone will perform lighting fast flip that will leave your audience in awe.

K5 Mini Nano Drone Features

Along with that feature, you have headless mode and altitude mode. The headless mode is a feature that switches the control orientation from the drone to a remote controller. This makes flying the drone much easier due to the fact you only have to fly the drone based on the direction you are pushing the movement lever at. The altitude hold function helps keep the drone stable in the air by detecting changes in the air pressure and adjusting accordingly.

Remote Controller

The K5 Mini Nano drone review isn’t completed without talking about how adorable and awesome these remote controllers are! All of the drones’ remote controllers that I have seen so far on the market like the DROCON Hacker and Zomma F15 Mini Drone are rectangular and bulky. The K5 Mini Nano drone introduces several nice changes for the remote controller that it uses. It does certainly look more modern and stylish in some way.

K5 Mini Nano Drone Remote Controller

To power on the remote controller, you will need to buy 4 AA batteries which you can easily get it here. Along with the buttons on the left side is a set of features such as headless mode, turn right and left automatically. On the right side are the movement lever and trimmer buttons. You will only need to use the trimmers if the drone isn’t flying steadily. Using them will help correct its stability for much smoother flight experience.

Finally, the top part is the storage case for the drone. As you can see, the drone fits inside nicely which is protected by a hard plastic cover. Its small size and circular size makes it very easy for beginners to store inside their pocket or travel case.

Final Verdict

Before I wrap up the K5 Mini Nano drone review, there are few remarks that I want to say about this foldable drone. The K5 Mini Nano drone is certainly a professionally crafted quadcopter made for simple and easy to use by beginners. Its foldable motor arms and durable plastic provides additional layers of protection that ensure long service life.

Even more so, it is incredibly affordable at its current price tag. My only couple issues with the K5 Mini Nano drone is that it doesn’t have a built-in camera and the battery can’t be replaced. Which is kinda sucky, but that is what you should expect from a drone within the price range. Other than these issues, the K5 Mini Nano drone is generally a great training quadcopter for beginners. You can get it here.
