Build & Design Quality
The SIMREX X400-V2 incorporates a circular model with black coating all around its body framework. In addition to that, it comes with built-in protective LED lights propeller guards that act as a shock absorber on impact. In the front, the drone flashes up two blue LED eyes that give it an intimidating presence which is cool. Underneath the drone is where the battery is located at. I didn’t like the fact how the battery wire hangs out a bit loosely. You will have to bend it slightly to make sure that the propellers don’t hit the wire.
The drone manufacturer who makes SIMREX X400-V2 designed this drone to be durable as much as possible. While it doesn’t use modern-grade plastic material as seen in ATTOP XT-1 and Visuo XS809S, the SIMREX X400-V2 uses rubber landing pads that help soften the impact. Overall, the design quality of this compact drone is average. Not the best, not the worse, but it is your standard toy-grade quadcopter under $50.

Performance
When it comes to shopping for the best drones, you should be thinking of the key qualities: is it durable and how well does it perform? The SIMREX X400-V2 drone is a very small and compact quadcopter that doesn’t pack a lot of propulsion force for outdoor activity. So, it should be avoid flown outdoor at all the cost. Indoor, this drone thrives with ease of use and incredible stability. Thanks to its design-build, it is not that hard for a beginner to learn how to pilot a drone with this quadcopter.
In addition to that, the SIMREX X400-V2 features a multitude of beginner-friendly functions such as headless mode, altitude hold, and speed mode. On the first flight, it will be at the slowest speed setting so that the beginners can learn how to fly a drone. Once they master their piloting skill, there will be an option to increase the speed level to challenge themselves. In my personal experience, I think it does make a great training choice before you plan to buy any of these best camera drones.

Remote Controller
If there is anything good to be said about the SIMREX X400-V2 drone, it has to be the remote controller. On the first impression, this remote controller looks professional crafted with top level quality. That puts most of the drones that use standard grade, remote controllers, to shame, such as Sky Beetle. In the middle is power on a button which will light up when activated as usual.
Then there are two levers that you use them to pilot the drone. The right lever is a movement lever that tells your drone where to fly: forward, backward, right or left. On the side is trimming buttons. If you are having a hard time controlling the drone or it is flying unsteadily, simply apply trim to correct its gyroscope. On the left, the lever is used to maintain altitude and rotating the drone. Along with that is a multitude of features such as 360-degree flip, headless mode, and speed switch mode.

Conclusion
As I prepare to wrap up the SIMREX X400-V2 review, I have few things to say about this little compact and stylish drone. While there are some drawbacks that this drone has, it is not the worse, but its affordable and still an easy choice for beginners who wants to learn how to fly a drone. One of the key features that makes it an excellent choice is long flight time. The SIMREX X400-V2 has a flight time of 9 minutes which is quite impressive for a tiny drone in its price range.
Because of that, we will give it a good score on its flight time. But I didn’t like how its wire hangs out. You will have to bend the wire to avoid propellers hitting it. Along with that, it doesn’t incorporate modern plastic to improve durability and such. Additionally, it has a limited control range of up to 45 meters. Still, that is plenty of flying room for a starter. These are what you are getting at the price of a drone you are paying for.
